Witchbreed assina contrato discográfico com Ascendance Records (UK)
É com grande orgulho e manifesta satisfação que os Witchbreed passaram a fazer parte da crescente familia da Ascendance Records.
Durante os próximos anos a banda vai poder contar com o apoio desta nova editora, o que nos irá permitir fazer chegar a nossa musica mais longe e a mais pessoas. Não foi uma caminhada facil mas não nos podiamos sentir mais realizados neste culminar de época, após dois árduos anos de trabalho de composição, gravação e consequente "Live Campaign", a banda encontra-se neste momento a preparar a gravação do album de estreia que sairá durante 2008.

"Darken all Light and Seduce all Darkness"
It is with great honour that Witchbreed are proud to announce a worldwide record deal was signed with Ascendance Records (UK). Witchbreed are confident that becoming part of the growing Ascendance records family will provide the opportunity to take their music to a broader audience and such alliance is all the band needed to finally bring Witchbreed under the worldwide Metal scene's eye.
After the enthusiastic welcome of the bands promo "Descending Fires" Wicthbreed debuted live in some of the most prestigious music festivals of Portugal, opening for bands like Samael (SWI) and 3rdRoOm (ITA). Witchbreed's live show took press critics and all audiences by surprise with the dark energy and furious live acting of the whole band, plus the synergetic antics of Ruby and her astonishing vocal performance capable of corrupting angels and seducing devils established Witchbreed as a genuine and unexpected ground breaking band of the current Metal scene.
Right after the "Descending Fires" tour, Witchbreed took studio time to record 2 new songs displaying a more aggressive and darker orientation. Rebel blood and Brotherhood of Fang & Claw immediately caught the attention of the new rising and ambitious British label, a rare case of seriousness and loyalty to Metal that took Witchbreed by surprise.
These are the best news the band could have had before closing such a hardworking year, it's a great reward and a big motivation to deliver surely one of the most surprising records of 2008.
At the present moment the band is getting ready, gathering the necessary troops to start recording their debut album; about 14 songs are being finished to complete the compendium of darkness the band has been compiling so far, expect nothing but sheer darkness wrapped in a veil of flames!
To celebrate the first year of the Witchbreed a promo video was made for Medeusa-Angel in Pain a flag tune that sums up the essence of Witchbreed's equilibrium, in this pure and strong visual register the band's own refined musical and aesthetic taste can be depicted in moments from several dates of the "Descending Fires" promo tour as well as the back stage's most nonsense moments, proving there is also room for laughter in darkness!!!
