STUDIO UPDATE:
Today marks the final day of the third month and with the clattering and breaking of bones (used for percussive purposes), it also marks the end of the recording and mixing process for our third wish. Mastering will take place over the next few days and with that we will see it's completion. Some of these songs and ideas have been waiting and manifesting for over three years now and we are delighted to finally say that the wait is almost over.
taken from "Aldrnari", a split release with Icelandic band Carpe Noctem and to be release the 24th of April as compact disc and vinyl record and via the know digital platforms.
Aldrnari is the collaboration of Árstíðir lífsins and Carpe Noctem. Recorded at various places in Germany, Sweden and Iceland in 2017 and 2018, Aldrnari was mixed and mastered in February of 2019 by Markus Stock at Klangschmiede Studio E, and embellished with a cover artwork by Artem Grigoryev. Aldrnari explores themes of death and war, fire and life.
The idea to approach Old Norse literature and art in a musically and lyrically sophisticated way gave birth to Árstíðir lífsins. Since its foundation in 2008, the band has released via Ván Records four highly acclaimed full-length albums, two EPs and a split-release with German Black Metal authority Helrunar. Entirely sung in Old Icelandic, Árstíðir lífsins proves with Hvers viðar bani once again its ability to produce audial quality: From ambient archaic folklore soundscapes, supported by dark chants and classical instruments, to both modern and classic Black Metal elements, the musical abilities project genuine craftmanship.

As you all know, the world is changing as the Covid-19 virus is spreading. Of course shows are affected also for us and we try to give information when we have it. A lot of things are pending so we don't always have specific details to give but we have not cancelled anything, only postponed!
Just as the rest of the music business. We wish we could give you better answers but as you know the situation is still globally very unclear. Clarity will come eventually.
At the moment we can confirm that the show in Israel (April 18) and London (May 9) are postponed to 2021. More info to follow....
To avoid wasting this time of global stand still, we are intensively working on the next Dark Funeral album. There aren't many things to say about it yet, other than it is slowly taking shape and it will blow you away!

While god is controlling pedophiles, hunger, infant deaths, rape, global destruction, war, cancer, aids, animal torture, human trafficking and racism to show us all how good he is, we on the other hand are keeping busy recording new material for you all to die to. With too many songs on the table, we decided to put out an EP while you await the upcoming album. It will contain a cover song and a song quite different from what we usually do, yet still 100% Whoredom Rife, might we add. Not to worry, we will never disgrace our art with blue corpse paint, latex skirts or whatever else outrageous nonsense so many others has done over the years. Just you wait and see...
