INHUMATE & (GRIND YOUR SOUL) are organising The UNITED SICKNESS FESTIVAL # 1 (Doctors & butchers) that will take place in February 23rd in Strasbourg / France. Reminder of the billing :

* HAEMORRHAGE : Do we still have to present this Spanish grind band that started in early nineties ? After 5 full length, gigs in all parts of Europe, HAEMORRHAGE is now cult ! Those 5 pathologists will come back in France after a 6 fucking long years break for an exclusive show ! Blood & knives will be at the rendez-vous !

* JIG-AI : Maybe the best band of the Czech new wave of grind fucking ultimate core ! JIG-AI is amazing pig voices on crazy blasts ! JIG-AI is a kind of sick music with a real stage show ! To be seen absolutely !

* PSORIASIS : They're using their instruments as real forensic surgeons. Precise and cuttering death metal at its beat ! The revival of the French death metal scene goes with PSORIASIS !

* SATAN’S REVENGE ON MANKING : Mid temp goregrind that catches you where it hurts ! SROM doesn't play soft shists... You like GUT and DEAD ? Then this is for you. Sick as fuck as you could see it on OEF 2007 !

* D.E.O.A.G. : The name of DESTRUCTIVE EXPLOSION OF ANAL GARLAND seems to be enough to give you an idea of what this Czech grind tornado will bring (looks like small brothers from JIG-AI) ! When the Eastern winds is blowing, hide grandma !

* NAKED SCARECROW : Old and local cult band from Strasbourg. The Naked Scarecrow will make our ears bleed with their so particular alchemy metal...

* BRUTANAL : The name of the band let you know what the band is interested in... Brutal as fuck with a heavy grwling female ! Not for soft emo kids...





:: LINE UP ::

Damien is our guitarist for a bit more than 1 year now. It wasn't easy to start again after David's departure (David was playing in INHUMATE since the beginning in 1990 and was the prinicpal composer of INHUMATE music...). But now things are clear, Damien is the guy we needed ! If we diddn't play any show in 2006 because of rehearsal rooms problems, personnal problems and some other shits, 2007 was ok with 11 killings gigs, the best one of them (and maybe of all INHUMATE carreer) was at O.E.F. !
In the same time the work for the fifth album is going pretty fast, we should unleash it in 2008.

Monday morning, waking up, I think for a few seconds that this was an ordinary day, a classical shitty Monday like others and my stomach suddenly aches and I realise that this is THE Monday I’ve been waiting for a long time : tonight we’ll play with Fehlgeburt, Sublime Cadaveric Decomposition and Brutal Truth at the Molodoi (Strasbourg). The whole day consisted to fake working in front of my screen at my lab and trying to not focus on the nervous tension and stress beginning to grow. Several work colleagues promised they’ll be there for the show, including my boss. I told myself “If he’s coming we have to grind his soul real hard!”.
The day passes finally; I get back home, Christophe the singer is supposed to pick me up at 6:45 pm. 6:25 pm I’m watching TV, trying to relax before the war, eating bread and old smelling cheese, when I realise that the printed nice coloured-setlists of the gig (involuntarily but generously offered by the French Minister of Research) are on my desk… AT WORK. Fuck, I can’t remember the order of 23 grinding titles we’re gonna play tonight, we absolutely need these fucking papers, I go out, take my car, drive like hell, growl at the red lights, and realise that Chris is gonna wait in front of my house while I’m on the road. Easy, I just have to call him and explain my lateness, but of course my phone is on my kitchen table. Moreover, I jumped out of my apartment so fast I let all lights on, and Chris arrives, rings the bell, no answer (hey hey), someone opens the building door for him, Chris tries to ring again at my apartment, sees the lights inside, and my cat, looking at him through the window probably thinking “Fuck ! This is Inhumate singer !!!” while I’m hitting my wheel with my fist and stopping at every red light, it’s 7 pm. Christophe starts to fear I may have passed out on the bathroom’s floor, maybe already drunk . I finally arrive, with apologies and everything, he’s glad I’m alive, but this little episode didn’t help me to evacuate the stress that keeps growing.
7:15 pm : arrival at the Molodoi, the others grinders are already there, I grab a beer, we talk a little, I’m acting cool (no no I feel no stress). All the grinding family is here, this means that instead of the racist uncle, the annoying nephew with his noisy toys, the deaf grand mother that doesn’t understand a thing even if you’re screaming at her ear, you have the grindfreak that looks like a accountant with his glasses, a lot of old dirty smelly metalheads, some angry young beardless kids, a few guys named Damien (remember the movie ?), hairs everywhere. A real and nice second family…
Fehlgeburt starts, I’m listening a little far from the stage, I’m not concentrated, but it sounds good. More beers, and Sublime Cadaveric Decomposition begins to play. And they’re not joking. A fucking violent brutal and grind show, those guys are stage butchers. Can’t wait to hear their next album, which will be in the same vein that “Inventory of Fixtures” as I was told by the singer Seb.
Our turn comes, and the tension is at its highest. For one second I feel like I’m gonna run out of the Molodoi and hide behind the bushes to wait till it’s all over. But I know that as soon as I’ll be on stage with my grind buddies, there’ll be no better place on Earth and that I will really feel alive. We plug in all the shit, make some quick sounds checks, and here we start. After that, what is it to say, I live some moments of total consciousness of what’s happening and some blackouts episodes full of adrenaline I don’t really remember, because that’s war in front of and on stage. Everything is so fast, the crowd, the screams, it all ends too quickly. Some minor technical problems (how the fuck that equalizer did fall on the floor ??) but overall it’s a fantastic moment, for example I see my boss ON stage next to me, t-shirt off, screaming and pinching my left nipple, I can’t believe my eyes !
We left the stage for Brutal Truth, I talk for a short while with their bassist who says “Great fucking show!”.
Of course, now it’s beer-till-the-end time, a lot of beers, discussions with friends, and I watch the BT gig. I’m not a big fan but it’s obvious they’re at 200% and they give us a pure raging butchery-style set, I’m very impressed by this powerful show (my God Rich Hoak is good). Our singer Chris is invited at the end of the show as a guest to sing with them on Walking Corpse, a very big emotional moment for him, I think one of the top 3 best moments in his grind life.
After that, more beers, we don’t want the evening to end, so we grab a few beers, bring the guitars, drums and amps back in our repetition room, where we sit, drink beers and talk till 4 am.
I’m finally back home at 4:30 am, I’m starving, I need bread and cheese, but the fucking fridge is empty, so I grab a beer that I won’t finish, as I will fall asleep in my bed watching a John Carpenter DVD…
Tuesday, 8 am, I’m back at my lab and ready to do some good work … I’m joking… 1 pm, I show my fucked-up drunk face at my lab and discover on my PC a mail from my boss : “You lied to me, you said you’d be back at 9 am this morning !”…
Thanks to the organizers Ordalies, 390 admissions a Monday evening, the Molodoi has almost never seen that before, and that’s a fuckin’ good news. That was close to ultimate grinding happiness this evening!

* We're currently in the studio to record our new album titled "The Fifth Season". It will be made of 18 tracks (for more than 30 minutes of music without any stupid intro / samples). With this album INHUMATE is following the concept strated in 1996 with "Internal Life". "THE fifth Season" will deal with wisdom, serenity, knowledge.
It should be released before the end of the year, still through GRIND YOUR SOUL, still self produced.
INHUMATE stays as a totally dedicated underground, independant and free band.

We will go on organizing some concerts ! Yes, we found a new location for our upcoming fest. It will happen in Selestat (a French city at 50 kilometers in the South of Strasbourg). The date is lready booked : October 2009, 24th.
The thema for the second edition of the United Sickness Fest will be French North East Best Brutal Bands. Performaing bands will be BLOCKHEADS, INHUMATE, AGON, DILUVIAN, CALCIFERUM, MALARIAH, UNTAMED et MOLOSSE.

Our 5th full length album, entitled "The Fifth Season" should be released in April 15th. It's delayed a bit more because of the fuckers @ the pressing factory. On our side eveything was ready almost 1 month before...
So, be a bit more patient please... We're really sorry for this long as fuck delay...

INHUMATE new album finally available !


After 5 fucking long years INHUMATE comes back with their 5th album. Following "Internal Life" (1996), "Ex-Pulsion" (1997), "Growth" (2000) and "Life" (2004), "The Fifth Season" represents the fifth step (wisdom, serenity and knowledge...) from the heptalogy (7 album concept) started in 1996.



Be ready for 18 + 1 tracks of intense grind/death (wisdom, serenity and knowledge???) coming with a perfect production (recorded at the DOWN TOWN STUDIO) ; more than 30 minutes of real music (without stupid intro, outro or smaples). The album comes into a jewel case covered with a slipcase and 20 pages full color booklet with all lyrics and usual shit.
