French blackgaze act Les Discrets are working on a split EP, together with Italian one-man post-rock band Arctic Plateau. The EP is set to be released on vinyl and as a double CD later this year through Prophecy Productions.

Les Discrets frontman Fursy Teyssier comments: "Gianluca is the kind of rare person I feel extremely close to even if we have met only one time. Artistically and musically, Arctic Plateau is part of the music that really moves me incredibly, and I also think there are huge connections between our respective music. Sharing this split is a step forward to our future collaboration..."

Arctic Plateau frontman Gianluca Divirgilio comments: "I see Les Discrets' music as a special framework, a dark watercolour of illusions and reality. Fursy is a good friend and a brilliant person. We share the same artistic vision, and we are careful to preserve our artistic identity. Music has no time, music has no space, but here we go, here and now, for ourselves, for you all."

SLIPKNOT's U.K. SONISPHERE Performance To Be Webcast

SLIPKNOT has announced a special real-time webcast of the band's Knebworth, United Kingdom performance via the group's website, Slipknot1.com, to take place during SLIPKNOT's headline set at 9 p.m. GMT on Sunday, July 10.

The webcasting of SLIPKNOT's historic Sunday night headline set live across the world from Knebworth will go out live on Slipknot1.com as well as SonisphereFestivals.com. Set to be an epic and emotional occasion, this highly anticipated show will mark the band’s first appearance in the U.K. in over two years and their first British performance without founding member Paul Gray, who tragically passed away last year.

The band said of the upcoming performance: "England has always been a special place for this band from the very beginning. We can't think of a better way to culminate our celebration of Paul's life than to share it with the 'maggots; at Knebworth and the millions more watching around the world. This is not to be missed."

Added festival producer Stuart Galbraith: "This is the first time Sonisphere festival has been transmitted live across the web and represents yet another major stride in its commitment to harnessing the power of the internet to engage with the rock audience at large across the planet. Given that this is going to be such an important event for SLIPKNOT fans the world over, we felt it only right to allow them all to share in what is set to be a historic experience, wherever they are."

The Sonisphere show on July 10 will be the last on this current tour for SLIPKNOT, which is performing for the first time without Gray. The band's future beyond this run of shows is unclear.

Além do mais, em 1969 os Led Zeppelin nunca estariam acima dos Rolling Stones no cartaz. Os Blue Öyster Cult só existem com esse nome desde 1971. Jean Baez?!

A capa abaixo é do próximo álbum da banda MASTODON, que se chama "The Hunter" e foi gravado no Doppler Studios, em Atlanta, com o produtor Mike Elizondo. As trilhas de bateria foram terminadas anteriorimente em Los Angeles, no lendário Sound City Studios, onde o NIRVANA gravou a obra-prima "Nevermind".



O novo álbum será lançado no dia 11 de outubro, pela Reprise Records. Segundo o blog DTG Reviews, o tracklist é o seguinte:

MEGADETH has set "13" as the title of its new album, tentatively due in November via Roadrunner Records. The CD was recorded at MEGADETH mainman Dave Mustaine's Vic's Garage studio in San Marcos, California with producer Johnny K (full name: John Karkazis), who has previously worked with DISTURBED, SEVENDUST, MACHINE HEAD and STAIND, among others. The artwork will once again be created by artist John Lorenzi, who was responsible for the artwork on the last two MEGADETH studio albums, 2007's "United Abominations" and 2009's "Endgame", as well as the band's 2007 box set, "Warchest".

Essa também está nice, mas não chama tanto à atenção! Pelo vídeo avançado por eles o álbum vai ser um pouco diferente, por isso acho q a outra capa assenta melhor. Eu adoro mesmo a outra, colei logo mal a vi, é certo q vou comprar o CD mesmo que odeie as músicas lol
Pessoalmente gosto quando as bandas variam, as capas deles já estavam a ficar um bocado aborrecidas, por muito boas que sejam artisticamente!
