PERPETRATOR/Thermonuclear Epiphany (Stormspell Records) Awesome thrash metal in the vein of say Destruction. Riffs that will make your neck spin and great vocals to boot. The guitar sound on this is incredible and this band just totally smoked and owned me. Not a bad song on here all are great. This band brought a full meal to the table I can tell you that. PERPETRATOR
Thermonuclear epiphany

Bassplayer Rick Thor used to wield the four strings in cult barbarian epic metal act IRONSWORD on the second and third album and also plays in RAVENSIRE, the inofficial successor of the aforementioned. Now what we may not know is that he has his roots in classic thrash and black thrash metal, so he surely knows what he does when he delivers us a raw edged 80s styled cult thrash album like this one. You may recall SODOM, KREATOR and SADUS here and there but all in all the tunes are memorable and distinctive with some raging eruptive thrash metal outbursts, a few solo passages and instrumental bridges where the band slows down a little bit and shows some remarkable technical skills before another violent part of the particular song begins. All in all the songs are written with a certain quirkiness but the execution feels very natural and the one or another heavy metal and heavy rock`n`roll passage thrown in for the good measure adds an earthy, honest feeling to the already sympathetic atmosphere. You won`t find any innovations here but then PERPETRATÖR just play good music for the same of good music, to win over the hearts of the thrash metal fanatics who can stand an old school, yet fresh sounding band. I am certain these are quite big in numbers.

Caverna Abismal sets January 31st, 2018 as the international release date for PERPETRATÖR's highly anticipated second album, Altered Beast, on CD/Tape formats.

Comprised of veterans of the Portuguese metal underground, PERPETRATÖR features current members of Filii Nigrantium Infernalium, RAVENSIRE, as well as ex-members of Firstborn Evil and Omission. Their sound is a departure from their other bands, however, specializing in an absolutely blistering iteration of old-school Teutonic thrash metal. If you heard their unrelenting 2014 debut album, "Thermonuclear Epiphany," then expect nothing but pure fist-in-the-face diabolism and debauchery - prepare for Perpetratör's second strike!
