This has to be one of the greatest albums of all time. It's NS black/thrash with killer riffs and pounding drumbeats and you can actually hear the bass! The opening track "Eigi Einhamir (Not Of One Skin)" is one of the greatest. most effective openers of all time! It opens with a kind of chanting for about 20 seconds then Pantheon just burst out in a fast frenzy. The riffs are constantly changing (like on most tracks of this album) and the drums are in perfect rhythm. The second track is also very great but doesn't compare to the track before.
From there on the album is a brilliant, outstanding work of genius. Then it reaches "The Atavism Into Ginnungagapt Part 2 (The Archtypes Unleashed)" the intro is very cheesy with a keyboard accompanied by guitars and constant shouts of "Sieg Heil" by Rubeus, then the instruments and vocals stop and let the keyboard work. Then Pantheon burst out once more and the track gets better. The finishing tracks are also outstanding works of art, but the album is probably worth getting for Eigi Einhamir and The Atavism Into Ginnungagap Pt.2 alone. THUNDERBOLT (PL) “The Sons of the Darkness” – CD DTB 666

“The Sons of the Darkness” is an awesome album and it beats the two subsequent ones hands down. This doesn’t mean that I hate “The Burning Deed of Deceit” or “Inhuman Ritual Massmurder” but this is definitely the best of the three IMO. This album manages to combine the atmospheric elements of the “Black Clouds Over Dark Majesty” MLP with Thunderbolt’s present brutal black/death metal style in a brilliant way. The songs flow flawlessly and alternate between furious blasting and slower more atmospheric parts. One example of this is “Journey to the Abyss of Hatred” which is basically a brutal track, yet it also contains an awesome calm part with acoustic guitars, keyboards and spoken vocals a’la “Black Clouds Over Dark Majesty”. Jacek Melnicki creates great atmospheres with the keyboards throughout the album; “Spit in His Face”, “Call of the Ancient Times” and “The Circle of Death” sound especially chilling. The drumming courtesy of Mittloff is aggressive as hell overall and the double bass drums are simply devastating. “Forest of Dying Souls” is a track very much in the “Black Clouds Over Dark Majesty” vein, just check out the guitar melody during the final part of the song (reminds you of “Wilderness of the Eternal Darkness” or “Moonglare” doesn’t it?). The acoustic guitars appear once again on “The Circle of Death” and the outro is a very good acoustic instrumental with keyboards in the background. “The Sons of the Darkness” is a landmark release for both Thunderbolt and Polish black metal.” (http://www.metal-archives.com)

ANCESTORS BLOOD "The Return Of The Ancient Ones"
Ancestors Blood was founded under the name Lost Wisdom by Raud (Guitars, Bass, Vocals) in winter 2002. Originally supposed to be a one man project but due to various reasons the idea was forgotten. E.Heinonen was asked to join to play the synths as a session member in midwinter 2003 but after the first demo (recorded during the spring in 2003) joined as a permanent member. Also Thorgaunt (drums) and Fyrdkal (Lead and acoustic guitars) were asked to be as session members in winter/spring 2003. In springtime 2004 was a new demo/promo recorded with the same lineup as in the first demo, but the vocals were done this time by Fyrdkal. During somewhere in autumn the name changed to Ancestors Blood and Thorgaunt had to step aside due the lack of time from his other project. After a while Pyromaniac was asked to join in as a permanent member. In autumn 2005 the third demo "Forgotten Times" was recorded. Also in the same sessions the songs for yet unreleased HUNOK split was recorded. Then after a year with delays and such the band gathered material for the debut album and entered studio in summer 2006. In 2007 the demo "Forgotten Times" was released by Heidens Hart. The first gig performed at Turku in oktober as ROOT's (cze) support act on one of the bands three dated tour. In 2008 after over a year of numerous delays will finally saw the debut release coming out from Hammermark Art. There will also be cd coming out from Ewiges Eis/Heidens Hart wich will include all of their demos.
