Their debut album “Malícia”, which translates to “malice” in English, stands up perfectly for such denomination. “Malícia” is nothing but a post-traumatic Black Metal experience delivered through relentless drum aggression, chaotic and dissonant riffs with eerie melodies, and vocals straight from the very core of a tormented human soul reminiscent of the likes of Shining’s Kvarforth and Leviathan’s Wrest. The oppressive atmosphere emanated by the combination of this misanthropic and caustic cauldron will leave mental bruises and scars in those who dare listen to the torments that dwell within."

YSENGRIN / BLACK GRAIL (FRA/CHL) - Nigrvm.Nigrivs.Nigro TAPE + Poster

Lapis philosophorum, commonly known as the philosopher’s stone, was said to contain the primordial matter of all things. Through the process of transmutation, the alchemist could transform base metals into pure gold, being Nigredo the first of four steps to attain the “Great Work”. Conjured between YSENGRIN and BLACK GRAIL, “Nigrum Nigrius Nigro” will be the first of a series of four 12" split records, to be released by NUCLEAR WAR NOW!/I, VOIDHANGER, which will represent YSENGRIN’s collaborative Magnum Opus with co-conspirators SARTEGOS, STARGAZER and INCONCESSUS LUX LUCIS. To visually enhance this work, Croatian artist MARKO MAROV was once again summoned to provide his exquisite and inimitable art. The image depicting Ouroboros symbolizes the cycle of transformation of the matter and the alchemist’s opus, culminating into the awakening of consciousness.

The split features four of YSENGRIN’s most sinister tracks recorded to date, along with a hauntingly dynamic single from BLACK GRAIL, which suitably follows its well-received debut album from earlier this year. “Nigrum Nigrius Nigro” will be released in a tape+poster version limited to 99 through the Portuguese coven CAVERNA ABISMAL.

To be re-released in tape format through Caverna Abismal, “The Spell of the Seeker” is a 4-track death metal ritual in the vein of the old coffins such as Carnage and Autopsy with the characteristic touch of South American darkness. Despite the old-school sound of the demo, the band doesn’t intend to be part of any revivalist movement or drink from the well of past glories. Instead, IN OBSCURITY REVEALED seeks to be a vehicle for a message that sometimes through music, is a process of transcendence, emanating from a source and in this case, an obscure one.

Created from the very essence of hatred in 2012, Tod Hueted Uebel are a two-piece hailing from the very depths of the Portuguese underground. “Malícia” is a post-traumatic Black Metal experience delivered through relentless drum aggression, chaotic and dissonant riffs with eerie melodies, and vocals straight from the very core of a tormented human soul


The forthcoming release of "Malícia" in tape format is going to be out soon!
Expect the tape to be available during April. The release includes all Lyrics from "Malícia" (not available on the CD version) along with a sticker containing the band Logo.
