" Allright!!!

Winter is most definitly full-on here now, and I'm enjoying the feeling of isolation as best as I can. Great! That out of the way, I will first thank Fenriz for doing a great job on the Darkthrone Official mySpace, du brenner for saken, bokstavelig talt!!! And to all of you who send me words through this site. Winter means a bit more activety indoors for me, so I'll give it my best shot to maintain this cyber-cage.

Dark Thrones and Black Flags is, well, history for me now, since the planning and songwriting for a new album is well under way. We enjoyed recording it and looking forward to the 13th of December when we pull the trigger for a new album. There are small details this time around that will most likely result in a slight different sound and "feeling". Seems pointless to mention such stuff here, but I can assure you that both Fenriz and me looking forward to this. The first session of a new record is always exciting+ since it do set some fundamental standards...at least in our heads....well, at least in MY head then. Working the way we do now is such a blizz it's hard to describe.

I'll get back to you all soon, about other music projects,bands etc. Gotta have coffe and vinyl....æhhh whathefuck, I go for Black Sabbath's "Sabotage" again. Well known....but for a damn good reason."

After completing the work on the Above material, S A M A E L decided that "Above" will no longer be a project but the title of their new album.
Recently asked about the album, this is what Vorph had to say:

"After 20 years we've tried to do an album that would represent what S A M A E L is all about and we did "Solar Soul". We feel now it is the right time to remember the people where we come from and that's exactly what "Above" will do. It is like an enhanced version of our three or four first albums, maybe the missing link between "Cermony Of Opposites" and "Passage". With the "Era One" project we've tried to work on different influences, with "Above" we striped everything down. It is a metal album through and through.

Gorgoroth trial date set

Infernus filed a lawsuit against King ov Hell in September this year, on the basis of King ov Hell (the 6th bass player in Gorgoroth's history) going behind Infernus' back in September 2007, secretly applying for trademark protection of the bandname and logo of Gorgoroth, which Infernus started using in 1992. The court case has now finally been scheduled. It will take place in Oslo, Norway, in the last week of January 2009. As soon as the court has made its decision, further information will be found at http://www.gorgoroth.info .

It is also with great pleasure that it can be announced that Infernus' new Gorgoroth line-up has been completed. The identity of the vocalist, which may not come as a surprise to some, will be revealed in a few days. Hail Satan!

NEW ALBUM OUT ON 18th OF FEBRUARY 2009

Callisto's third album Providence will be released in Finland on February 18th. The album's debut single Covenant Colours is now streaming on the band's MySpace.

The single and the album will also be the debut for the band's new vocalist Jani Ala-Hukkala, whose screaming and clean vocals mark a new element in the band's sonic palette. None of the original members have left the band, and Callisto's former vocalist Markus Myllykangas continues with the band as a guitarist.

After a year's hiatus in touring, the band returns to the stage at Estonia's Green Christmas festival on December 12th along with Volbeat and Dark Tranquillity

I Killed The Prom Queen

Sleepless Nights and City Lights is both the first DVD and live release, excluding the bonus tracks available on the tour edition of Music for the Recently Deceased. This DVD shows the band in front of their hometown crowd at the HQ's in Adelaide during their final run of shows, the Say Goodbye Tour of 2008. With the return of Michael Crafter to front the band they performed songs from all of their releases. The DVD contains this show in Adelaide, in depth Interviews with each band member discussing their experiences within I Killed The Prom Queen and the possibility of a return.

The dvd/cd will now be released on the 22nd of November.
