GENGHIS TRON SIGN TO RELAPSE RECORDS
Relapse Records is proud to announce the signing of avant-garde rock extremists GENGHIS TRON. Upon signing, GENGHIS TRON comment: "We're incredibly excited to be joining the Relapse family. The three of us have been huge fans of the label since the dawn of time and we can't wait to work with them on our future releases.”
The new Philadelphia transplants (Mookie Singerman, Michael Sochynsky, and Hamilton Jordan, Jr.) have recently released the critically acclaimed full-length Dead Mountain Mouth and are working on writing the follow-up and Relapse debut. “We're currently building a bold, psychedelic bridge to Godcity Studios where we'll be recording our next album in August with Kurt Ballou." comments the band. "Thanks to some serious unemployment we've been fully immersed in erecting said bridge--working 8 hours or more a day, seven days a week on new material. It's sounding insane and awesome and entirely indescribable. We're stoked." Dead Mountain Mouth garnered best of the year accolades in leading music-publications such as Rock Sound, Decibel Magazine, Kerrang!, CMJ, Exclaim!, and more.

Neurosis completes new album
Neurosis recently completed work on their new full-length album. Titled "Given To The Rising," the effort will hit stores in early-May via Neurot Recordings on CD/DLP. According to the band, "Prepare yourselves for 71+ minutes of early-period brutality and heaviness combined with all the interior space and wind-swept isolation of the more recent albums."

VESANIA Begins Recording Third Album
Guitarist/vocalist Orion of the Polish black metallers VESANIA has issued the following update:
"After a time of enormous activity, we've decided to focus our energy on the [third VESANIA album]. We collected all of the material and ideas that had been written in recent years and sealed ourselves away in the rehearsal room for a while. We reappraised all of these ideas, incorporating the experience we've gained through previous recording sessions and the tours we've participated in. Completely fresh ideas just appeared during these rehearsals and the result shall be the third VESANIA album, a worthy successor to the highly acclaimed 'God the Lux'. It's undoubtedly going to be the most mature effort by the band thus far, demonstrating a new level in terms of composition, arrangement and sound quality.
"The drums are currently being recorded at Studio X in Olsztyn (Poland) and the sounds being produced are just awesome!
The third child of VESANIA is slowly reaching formation with due care being taken in the studio to allow for development and expansion where appropriate. However, we can already assure you that the wait will be more than worth it!"

A couple of days ago Björn called me and said that In Flames are in the studio and recording three new demo songs. The plan is to do the whole pre production on their own.
Yesterday Daniel finalised the last song on the drums and right now Björn and Jesper is recording the guitars.
There is big excitement in the band right now, they are back in their own studio (IF studios) for the pre production and eventually recording the next record. Next, the festival in Dubai, witch is unbroken territory for In Flames. Then get back on the road to do the Norway/Sweden tour.

A new nine inch nails track by the name of "My Violent Heart" has surfaced online, after allegedly being found on a USB drive found in the bathroom of the venue of their recent show in Lisbon, POR. There have also been rumors of more drives containing the track being found in a similar way in venues the band have played as well, which pretty much confirms it as a rather brilliant marketing tactic. Sacramento's WILL HAVEN has set "Heirophant" as the title of its new album, due in June via Bieler Bros. Records. The CD, which will be recorded beginning late February at Bieler Bros. Studios in Pompano Beach, Florida, will mark the group's first release since 2001's critically acclaimed "Carpe Diem".
WILL HAVEN recently finished recording three new songs with producers Chino Moreno (DEFTONES) and Shaun Lopez (FAR, THE REVOLUTION SMILE). The tracks — "Helena", "Sheppard's Bush" and "Landing on Ice" — are described by the band as "by far the best stuff we have ever done. Definitely pushing the envelope, but that's how we want it. Having Chino and Shaun a part of it, you know some groundbreaking stuff is bound to happen."
