SWITCHTENSE/SEVEN STITCHES "the Hunter Of Souls" split promo CD
Two bands uniting their forces on an advance promo CD to create an organized invasion....simply, where SWITCHTENSE goes, SEVEN STITCHES follows...and it looks like both bands are set to play all over Europe in the fall of this year. While THE RANSACK got a methodical stalk'n'kill approach in the Death Metal side, Both bands here show Thrash metal can be equally aggressive and taking NO prisoners. The first turn is taken by SWITCHTENSE who play 2 songs "State Of Resignation" which immediately stole my heart with some proper aggression....but i got left speechless when listening to "Infected Blood" shich got all the agressivity of death metal...just think MALEVOLENT CREATION!!!!! yes, i totally think about MALEVOLENT CREATION's blasting metal aggression....i am blown away by SWITCHTENSE as they simply re-defined the meaning of "Aggressive Thrash Metal"....totally LOVE IT!!!!!
SEVEN STITCHES continues the right trajectoire of what SEVEN STITCHES started up...with equally fast and aggressive thrash metal, slightly different vocals as well, with a slightly more swedish touch (At The gates, Dissection...) and more melodic riffs, especially in the song "Face To Face"...but still some reminders of Malevolent Creation at times, just a bit more rounded guitar riffs and some brutal riffs as well!....and finally..."The Sweet Sound Of Decadence" which got even some Celtic Frost down tempo breaks. So refreshing and at the same time....some pure aggression....Gosh, I LOVE these hammering drums and uptuned guitar riffs perfectly matching together....Both bands have blown me away big time....All i can tell you is ....GET IT NOW and check both bands on their extensive European Tour (Autumn 2008)
