FESTIVAL changing place - AGAIN!

So you were understandably wondering why the heck we didn't post the festival's final flyer and schedule, right?

Long story short: last Friday, a reporter or someone posing as a reporter for a well-known and poorly-regarded Portuguese newspaper contacted the City Hall of the location where the festival was going to take place. Said person slandered XXXicken Fest, describing it as a right-wing support event (right-wing, seriously?!). That, along with a pack of other lies, led to the cancellation of the festival in that location.

All the licenses were correct (and on that point, our deepest gratitude to the team behind the Pedrogão Camping Park for all their support). We took a long time to announce the new venue so we could be 100% sure that it would be impossible to anyone to sabotage us again. But there you go, a lot of time and money invested on all this, and once AGAIN "someone" sinks this festival, this time with just an email. Truth be told, we know who's hiding in the shadows creating this mess and trying to boycott us.

However, our willpower and the fact that we're in the right on this are stronger than all the lies.

We are persistent, and the festival WILL HAPPEN, on the same dates, but in another city: Cantanhede, at the Rex Bowling Bar! Cantanhede lies by the Portuguese coast. You can look up "Rex Bowling, Rua Santo António, Cantanhede, Portugal" in Google Maps. Yes, it's roughly 20km away from the beach, but we have already secured a bus shuttle service at a symbolic price for those who wish to enjoy the sun and the waves. There's a camping park nearby (500m), which will be free for ticket buyers. There's also a hotel equally close to the venue. We'll have more information on it soon.

We have booked the flights for nearly all the bands (you can check with them if you're so inclined). However, when we were taking care of the last few flights, we received the forementioned bad news and had to resize and rethink all the festival. Due to that change and the fact that some bands cancelled at the last minute because of scheduling conflicts with their daytime jobs, we have consequentially lowered the prices for the tickets bought on the days of the event.

The price for the 3-day pass was reduced from 68€ to 60€. The daily prices will also undergo price drops: Thursday - 25€ (was 28€); Friday - 30€ (was 33€); Saturday - 30€ (was 33€). We should note, the price for three-day pre-purchased passes remains at 50€, and they're on offer until June 27th. Interested buyers can reach us at tickets.xxxicken@gmail.com for acquiring them.
Also, if you can't get all your money back when cancelling your stay in the previous city, contact us with proof and we will compensate you with food, drinks or in some other way!

We truly hope you guys can understand how difficul this has been to us and how this is the last chance in order to make XXXicken fest happen—but it will happen!

So, here's the new festival poster. Expect an announcement regarding the complete festival schedule as well tomorrow, and contact us by email (xxxickenparty@gmail.com) if you need any information about the new venue or any help with camping park or hotel reservations.

For now, all we can say is that the new venue is absolutely confirmed, and that there are no chances of a mysterious cancellation this time. We're very, very sorry for all this mess, and we thank you once again for your support and understanding. Without your love we would have already given up on this. And remember: we have a face. We don't hide ourselves and take pride in our transparency. And we are to make everything clear.

"Firstly, we need to thank you for such a strong support and patience towards all the problems we had.
Your trust in our good faith leads us to this final announcement:
The festival will happen in Praia do Pedrogão / Pedrogão Beach (Leiria)! It's a location less than 50 Kms south of Quiaios (the original place). All the prices are the same, we’ll have free camping in a park right next to the venue, and a lovely beach nearby (a 2 minute walk).
Although, with great changes, comes a new beginning. Unfortunately, the name XXXAPADA was cursed with bad karma, and lost all its credibility thanks to a bunch of hateful and slanderous lies. As such, we decided that with a new venue, a new festival under a new name should be born. So we have the honor to introduce to you XXXICKEN PARTY – Portuguese Death/Grind Fest. The billing stays the same, and all the tickets you had previously bought to xxxapada are valid, so you do not need to worry about it.
As said before the price of the 3 day tickets remain the same (50 euro) and can be purchase in our new email: tickets.xxxicken@gmail.com
The final schedules for the shows are going to be announced in the next few days, as well as the prices for each day.

Ainda houve alguns cancelamentos de bandas, os cabeças de cartaz, entre outras, basta comparar os dois cartazes, seria importante a organização falar disso, pois já é novela/palhaçada.

O XXXapada na Tromba foi cancelado, ponto. Mas a mesma organização conseguiu, num espaço de tempo incrivelmente curto, criar um novo festival com um cartaz parecido e nas mesmas datas.

Vendo as coisas sob essa perspectiva dá uma ideia diferente.
