GAEREA - ANNOUNCE NEW ALBUM "COMA" AND RELEASE NEW MUSIC VIDEO!

Cathartic black metal outfit GAEREA have just announced details about their new album "Coma" scheduled to be released on the 25th of October 2024 via Season of Mist!

GAEREA arrived shrouded in mystery. The masked sensations emerged from pandemic limbo with a vision for black metal that was guided not by myths or pagan beliefs but a purging of emotion. Existential dread still pulses through the Portuguese band's blood, but their upcoming fourth album signals a shift in psychology.

With "Coma",GAEREA are no longer strictly a black metal band. Instead, they're breaking to the forefront of extreme metal. Though their new album was produced by trusted confidant Miguel Tereso, it broadens the band's signature sound by taking it in two seemingly opposed directions. There are more moments of intense beauty, but they only heighten the ensuing blows.

The world may be as hopeless as the album's lead single declares. But with "Coma", GAEREA have returned to prove that they are only the band who can guide us into the darkness.

Uma coisa é certa a voz ou será o sotaque é mesmo á Fanã, pelo menos na berraria....

Por acaso quando ouvi a primeira vez esta ultima musica acima pensei que pudesse ser alguma faixa perdida que não tivesse encaixado no album de Dæmonarch, lol.

E terceira musica que ouço do novo album e terceira musica que não bate. Estou mesmo tentado a acreditar que quem fez o Mirage foi mesmo a malta que saiu. E, se tal assim foi, eles sao burros se nao se juntam e formam uma nova banda.

É a tradição tuga, o fetiche dos olhos, tens outros exemplos de capas com o olho como Irreligious de Moonspel, Rebirth Of Evil dos FirstbornEvil, Foreshadow dos Inhuman (aqui tem cara também, mas o destaque vai para o olho), entre outras.

Hum...curiosa essa ideia, e bem "vistas" as coisas acabas por ter razão.
Ás tantas se os russos já não tivessem usurpado o nome "Olhava" ou o Vindsval o "The Eye" ainda tinhamos bandas chamadas assim...os as tantas já existem lol.
No entanto e ainda de volta a capa uma "vista de olhos" pela net existem inumeros desenhos com ou inspirados naquela tematica..por isso deve ter algum significado "asmodeano" ou "narcisista" qualquer...ou pior "niilista" que não expressa sentimentos

Reclusive black metal duo None has announced its disbandment via Hypnotic Dirge Records. On July 9th, the band made a statement on Hypnotic Dirge's Facebook page:

We are announcing the closure of the NONE project. The reasoning is mutual but personal. We can, however, say that the fourth album "Inevitable" was always designed to be our terminal chapter, and this was an inspiring force behind many decisions on the album. Finally, we extend our deepest gratitude to Nic & Hypnotic Dirge for the unparalleled support and trust. Now we may find rest.

None's two members remain anonymous and the band itself has minimal online presence, hence the announcement by proxy. From the time of their formation in 2015, None released four albums of depressive black metal; their second album, Life Has Gone On Long Enough, was nominated for Best Black Metal Album in the 2018 Metal Storm Awards.

Swedish death metal band DEMONICAL will release their first ever live album, “Victorious Death - Live in Latin America”, on August 30th (CD/MC/Digital) and September 27th (LP) via Agonia Records.

The debut live album of Swedish long-running death metal fiends DEMONICAL. "Victorious Death - Live in Latin America" captures the band's thunderous live performance from the eponymous region, recorded in September 2023.

Mixed at Wellbay Studios with Johan Hjelm. Mastered at Pentagram Music Studios by George Emmanuel (Lucifer's Child, ex-Rotting Christ, ex-Necormanita). Cover artwork by Chris Kiesling.
