Conservative Web Site Says DIMEBAG 'Contributed To Culture Of Death' That Spawned His Killer - Dec. 14, 2004

William Grim, Contributing Editor of the popular conservative web site The Iconoclast, has penned the following article with regards to the recent murder of DAMAGEPLAN/ex-PANTERA guitarist "Dimebag" Darrell Abbott:

"You've undoubtedly heard by now that a demented fan last week killed heavy metal guitarist Dimebag Abbott at the Alrosa Villa in Columbus, Ohio. While I am extremely happy to hear that the assassin was shot to death by a brave Columbus policeman and I in no way want to engage in a blaming the victim scenario, I cannot deny that there much in Mr. Abbott's demise of one being hoisted on one's petard. The squalor, inhumanity, filth (both in the metaphorical and hygienic senses), depravity, ugliness and ignorance of everything that heavy metal represents (Like rap, I cannot use the noble term music in a description of heavy metal) creates a mindset among its devotees in which Mr. Abbott's assassination was an event that was all but waiting to happen.

"It was highly amusing, and also terribly sad, to watch on television fans conducting a 'vigil' for the slain Mr. Abbott outside of the Alrosa Villa. It was an assemblage of ignorant, semi-human barbarians who were filthy in attire and manner, intellectually incoherent and above all else, hideously ugly to the point of physical deformity. Here is a definite case in which the outer appearance of these 'fans' accurately represented the hideousness of their souls. That the physical deformity of their ugliness was self-inflicted makes the spiritual tragedy of their misspent lives all the more tragic."

Sinceramente, li o artigo deste "Sr." não é nada de novo este tipo de opiniões. No pais dos pseudo-moralistas isto é corriqueiro, uma perfeita estupidez e espelho de um fanatismo e ignorância profunda camuflada quase sempre numa crença cristã também ela hipócrita, É como costumo dizer, dos States vem de tudo, o quye há de melhor e o que há de pior. Aliás, apropósito disto li há pouco que os supermercados Wall-Mart nos EUA vão ser processados por uma daquelas organizações extremistas de conservadores, acho até que é aquela do parental advisory, porque vendem o álbum de Evanescence que contém linguagem obscena (????!!!!)

Bom... Isto realmente é uma tristeza maior do que... O melhor mesmo é não me chatear com isto... Só uma pequena coisa:
Talvez a mãe dele seja feia, gorda e talvez até cheire mal também. Se lhe matassem a mãe e lhe fossem dizer que estavamos todos à espera disso e que a mãe dele era uma burra e que toda a gente a queria matar, a reacção dele devia ser me dar razão... ou não!!

Não te esqueças de quando foi aquela história de Ilhavo do tipo que matou os pais supostamente em rituais satânicos e etc apesar de todo o burborinho que houve, apesar de tudo os media deram-se ao trabalho de entrevistar pessoal que mostrou que as pancadas de uns não têm nada que se relacionar com os gostos musicais. E podendo haver um padreco ou outro a falr do que não sabe, não existem organizações apostadas em denegrir e perseguir tal como se fosse a inquisição os gostos musicais das pessoas e a censurar capas de cds e letras. Apesar de haverem pessoas no meio que fazem uma relação directa das coisas, mas eesses já são doentes de base, na maioria dos casos tudo se fica pelas palavras e num plano metafísico, música é arte e acho que a maioria das pessoas entende as coisas assim cá por estes lados, independentemente de gostar ou não.

Ao que parece, os rapazes no dvd ao vivo tocam uma cover de Korn que tem uma vez a palavra "fuck" e como a cadeia Wal Mart defende a musica sem asneiras para os jovens, quando ameçada por um pai por um processo, retirou... eu ria-me era se fosse musica "a sério"
