Metal / rock bars in Funchal?

Sorry for the English. My Portuguese is zero!

I will be in Funchal in the beginning of October, and I wondered if there were some good bars or clubs that played metal (or even just plain old rock) music? Maybe a live venue?

You have a little bar that plays rock/metal stuff, it's called Reduto and it's near the Funchal's Casino. Aside from that I can't recall any more bars of that kind. Maybe the guys from Madeira, that use to hang around the forum could tell more bars...

reduto closed a few months back.

there are no metal bars now. but there are some rock bars, but mostly outside funchal. that´s no problem, this is a very small island. there are some bars with live bands playing, but not always metal.
anyway, no need to worry, there´s always something going on somewhere in the island. we have to be creative around here when comes to find a place to hang out, but we always find something to do.

my sweet island paulo rock with a band playing live ye sure.. but metal no chance of that... actualy madeira island is turning into the 2 ibiza just fuckin' dance music
