MY DYING BRIDE (GBR)
LINE-UP CHANGES
This is the official statement about the line-up changes of MY DYING BRIDE:
"My Dying Bride is sorry to have to say that on 5th January 2007 bassist Adrian Jackson left the band. He has pledged his future in America and has made it quite clear there is no room in his plans for My Dying Bride. We have parted in good faith and wish him luck with his new life out there. It has absolutely no effect on any of the gigs we have confirmed. We have already rehearsed his replacement to gig readiness and she is looking forward to playing for the first time in My Dying Bride. More on his replacement, Lena, soon.
Secondly we have had to replace long term stand in drummer / thunder truck / Uberlunatic John Bennet due to his work commitments. He is saddened by the fact he cannot drum for My Dying Bride anymore as are we, but we understand that we all have to make a living and wish him luck too in his job.
It's not all doom and gloom though as we have been rehearsing with excellent drummer Dan Mullins of Thine, Bal Sagoth and Sermon Of Hypocrisy fame and again he too is now at gig readiness. MDB has a new fresh focused feel to it and we are looking forward to the shows with a vengeance."

OBITUARY novo album
Floridian deathsters Obituary have announced their plans to enter the studio in March, signer Jon Tardy said, "We are still working on the new CD and are getting really excited about these new songs. This is some pretty sick shit! I still do not know what we are going to do about a record label. We are still talking with a few labels and trying to work something out! Hopefully something gets done soon, so we can move forward and concentrate on future events!"

Mournful Congregation are currently in the midst of recording a new track for the purpose of a new split 7" record with fellow Australian doom metal band Stone Wings. This track will be entitled Descent Of The Flames, with the Stone Wings track being entitled Ascent Of The Flames.
This is somewhat of a concept 7" with both sets of lyrics being penned by Chuck Keller of Order From Chaos/ Vulpecula/ Ares Kingdom fame.
With corresponding artwork and musical parallels, this will truely be a unique and one-of-a-kind jewel in the doom metal annals.
It is unsure as to which label it will be released through at this stage, but expect its release early in 2007!
As well as the long awaited split 7" EP Mournful Congregation are to do with Stone Wings, there are two other releases being prepared as you read this.
Firstly, Loss (USA),Otesanek (USA), Orthodox (Spain) and Mournful Congregation are combining doomed forces to bring you a 4-way split 12"/ CD to be released on
Battle Kommand Records. This is a special release in many ways. For Mournful Congregations part, it will feature
the hymn, Left Unspoken, which is somewhat of a lost relic dating from 1996. A track which was never recorded or
released in the past, but which is perhaps some of their saddest material in terms of lyrical content and musical drudgery. It was written directly proceeding the
An Epic Dream of Desire material, so will be surely of much interest to those dedicated fans of the older
Mournful Congregation vibes!!!!
Secondly, Mournful Congregation will take part in a grand tribute to the doom metal gods Thergothon. Solitude Productions from Russia
will release a unique double CD tribute featuring Doom metal bands on one disc, and Death metal bands on the other. Mournful Congregation will produce their
rendition of the classic track Elemental (a long time favourite of Mournful Congregation). Bands confirmed for
this so far - Evoken, Asunder, Loss, Officium Triste, Colosseum, Intaglio, Umbra Nihil, Axis Of Advance, Krohm, Azagthoth, Inter Arbores and Aarni.

DOWN entered a Los Angeles studio last month to begin recording its third full-length album, tentatively titled "Down III". Producer Warren Riker (CROWBAR, SUBLIME) is helming the effort, for which the band had reportedly composed more than 18 tracks.

EXODUS guitarist Gary Holt has issued the following update:
"I'd like to take a moment here and welcome back Tom Hunting to EXODUS' drum throne. It was always understood that when and if Tom was ever ready to resume his drumming duties for the band, his seat would be waiting. Paul [Bostaph] always knew this, and was the first to say it upon joining the band. Paul and Tom have always been good friends and we, as a band, cannot thank Paul enough for his services on 'Shovel Headed Kill Machine' and all the subsequent tours he did to support that album. We had a great time and kicked many asses along the way. Paul has given this reunion his whole-hearted endorsement with no mixed blessings and is happy to see Tom back in the fold. Now, some band out there may just become the luckiest bunch of suckers in the world, because one hell of a drum is on the market! We wish Paul all the best, and he will always be a member of the extended EXODUS family.

POISON, RATT And GREAT WHITE To Tour Together This Summer
"BW&BK has learned that POISON will once again be embarking on a North American Summer Tour. This year, they will co-headline with a reunited RATT and special guests GREAT WHITE, in addition to one other band yet to be named.
Ratt's lineup is expected to feature vocalist Stephen Pearcy, guitarist Warren DeMartini and drummer Bobby Blotzer. Bassist Juan Croucier is still discussing the possibility of joining the festivities.
Great White will be celebrating their 25th anniversary as a band.
Currently, only one date has been confirmed - August 12th at The Gibson Amphitheatre in Universal City, California. The full routing will be announced shortly.
As previously reported, Poison is currently working on a record of classic rock cover songs due to be released later this year."
