Too hilarious news not to share: the management of a band I recently interviewed wanted to cancel & decline the interview that is coming out next.
This was "Because your channel is associated in some people's eyes with NSBM-related content, publishing the interview would expose the band to indirect association and negative backlash."
Was the approach pleasant and friendly? No. Surely it said some sugar-coated words like "respect your word", but it is just buzz words, nothing else. No apologies for hours spent working on this or any kind of compensation even.
Was it by someone I personally know or someone who had previously somehow helping out or supporting Rauta? No. It was not about "asking for a favor". Just a demand.
Will I take a knee and bend before this "demand"? No, of course not. This is Rauta.
If this means Rauta gets buried under a ton of iron* because I don't bend before the corporations who only see artists as assets and products to sell and make money and who also as such enable the whole cancel culture, so be it.
I'd rather have a backbone and die with that than keep the channel alive and make stories about feelgood artists & albums and never talk about anything shady, sketchy or controversal.
And those who dislike or hate Rauta for what I do or what I am, keep calm and you doing what you do. Rauta is not for you.
